We are insanely excited for the upcoming Pokemon release on the 3DS. It’s been on our minds for months now and we can’t wait to get our hands on it. I’ve already got my dream team all planned out… Six Farfetch’d named after the cast memebers of Friends. I would be calling two of them Joey for obvious reasons. This genius strategy inspired this week’s round of Nerd Wars! We want to know, would you rather use a team of six Farfetch’d or a team of six Bidoof?

We’ve made it perfectly clear that we love and support Dead Space. It is one of the best horror franchises of this generation. We’ve had many special memories of rag-dolling limbs and horrifically, brutal death sequences. Each game brought it’s own special charm, so for us this is a difficult choice, but this week we want to know which Dead Space is your favorite? Let the Nerd Wars! begin!

The big headache on the interwebs right now, is people still can’t play the new SimCity. While it looks really polished, it doesn’t really matter when so many folks can’t even get a chance to play it. But don’t fret, because there are many other fantastic Sim games for you to enjoy!

My personal favorite as a child, even though to this day the game still makes little to no sense, was SimAnt. It had all the fun of a civilization simulator with the extra fear of being squashed while scavenging for food. That and the original Simcity from 1989 hold a special place in my retro heart. So for this week’s Nerd Wars! we want to know, what is your favorite Sim game?

Choosing a baby name can be a grueling process. You don’t want to pick a name that everybody else’s kid has, but you don’t want to have one of those creepy, celebrity baby names, like Nectarine. We’re going to shake things like a baby for this week’s round of Nerd Wars! We mean, shake things up… yeah, that’s it. So we’ve been playing a ridiculous amount of Castlevania: Harmony of Despair lately and it’s reminded us of how much we flippin’ love this series. Seriously, we’ve been grinding this game harder than a shorty in a Ludacris video. We all have our favorite Castlevania games, but this week we need you to choose your favorite Vampire Killer. It’s going to be a difficult decision, but it’s one that needs answered, but enough talk. Have at you!

If you haven’t tried Harmony of Despair and you love Castlevania, you should definitely give it a download on the Xbox Live Arcade. It’s a solid game that references all your favorite characters and games from the series.

It was a Sony newsplosion yesterday. We received an outrageous amount of info on their new console, the Playstation 4. This well-produced presentation made sure to cover all the really vital selling points and we have to admit, some of these new features are pretty convincing.

This week we want to know what features and games would make you purchase this exciting, new console. Are you amped about the beefy new processor and graphics card? Or are you a little more jazzed about the spiffy, new Dualshock 4 controller? Hey, if you’re excited about all of it, feel free to check any box that applies.

Whether you are sold on the new Playstation or not, you can’t deny the fact that Sony is offering it’s fans some rather cool services. If you think some of these features are ridiculous and unnecessary, feel free to share. Let’s get it all out in the open and let the Nerd Wars! begin!

Nerd Wars! What is Your Favorite Alien Film?

We received some rather unsettling news earlier this week. The long-awaited, Aliens: Colonial Marines game was released and welcomed with some horrifically brutal criticism. We’ve seen reviews as low as a single star out of five and this isn’t just from a few negative Nancy’s, no, this is from almost everyone who’s played it.

To get the awful taste of this game out of our mouths, we thought we’d use this week’s round of Nerd Wars! to get your votes for your favorite film in the Alien franchise. And no, we aren’t going to include any of the Aliens vs Predator movies because those were awful and just downright offensive to fans of both franchises.
