After several blistering days of fierce competition, E3 2013 is coming to a close. Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony worked hard to keep the focus on gaming and ensure consumers that they will be providing great content for their new consoles. There were some obvious standouts this year, but overall we were pretty happy with everything we saw. For this week’s round of Nerd Wars! we want to know what you thought was the best in show?
We are less than a week away from E3. Sony and Microsoft have both revealed their next-gen consoles and Nintendo is attempting a rather unorthodox approach this time around. Each company has something at stake and they all realize that. Hopefully this turns into some amazing projects from everyone involved. The Gears of War franchise is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in gaming and for good reason. This series revolutionized cover-based shooting and raised the standard for what was considered “next-gen” graphics. We love every game in it’s own way, but we all have our favorites. For this week’s round of Nerd Wars! we want to know your Gears of choice.
Megadeth obviously loves Gears of War more than any of us combined. They wrote a song trying to capture it’s glory.
Microsoft and Sony have both officially unveiled their next generation consoles. So far it seems like the specs are almost identical. We haven’t yet seen the PS4, but we can be sure the reveal isn’t too far off. It’s still quite early in the console race, but we want to know which side you’re leaning towards. Are you going green with the American Xbox One? Or are you going Red (you communists) and supporting the PS4?
We are insanely excited for the upcoming Pokemon release on the 3DS. It’s been on our minds for months now and we can’t wait to get our hands on it. I’ve already got my dream team all planned out… Six Farfetch’d named after the cast memebers of Friends. I would be calling two of them Joey for obvious reasons. This genius strategy inspired this week’s round of Nerd Wars! We want to know, would you rather use a team of six Farfetch’d or a team of six Bidoof?
There’s no better way to tell the world you’re a total man than to grow a gnarly mustache. Think about it. Picture that distant uncle you have, the one who wears flannel and sits on his porch yelling at any passerby. You know what he has? A stache and he who has the stache, holds all the power. There have been some amazing mustaches in gaming history and for this week’s round of Nerd Wars! we want to determine who’s got the best stache of them all. Careful, things might get a little hairy.
So who’s been playing Injustice lately? Ever since that game was released we’ve had super heroes on the brain. For this week’s round of Nerd Wars! we’d like to settle an age-old debate. Who would win in a fight between Superman and Batman?
I think it’s fair to say that almost every person has watched the Power Rangers at some point in their lives. It’s an integral part of any good childhood. There were many arguments at recess over who was the greatest of all the Power Rangers and for this week’s round of Nerd Wars! we shall settle it once and for all. Go, Go, Power Rangers!
