Supposedly the Wall Street Journal has published an article confirming that the announcement is for the Playstation 4. Unfortunately I do not have a subscription myself and would have to trust what is said by those that do, and the WSJ itself is usually quite a credible source of information in of itself.
If it does turn out to be the next console I’d be rather surprised given the recent statement by Kaz Hirai stating how it’d be more prudent for them to let Microsoft show their guns off first.
Do you guys think it’s too soon for a PS4 announcement if this turns out to be the case on the 20th?
I haven’t looked into the Wall Street Journal thing, but I feel like Sony would have that type of information on lockdown.
If it is an announcement for a new system I will have to give Sony some serious credit for taking the first step in the upcoming console war, but that would they also broke several promises to their fans by promising nothing new until 2016 and PS3 supprt for four more years.
Yeah, so much for that long term investment.
