The Beta for Crysis 3 was released a few days ago on Xbox Live. I kind of skipped over the first two games, so I figured I’d give it a whirl. Let’s just say, things did not go well.
Being a rookie to the franchise, I was little overwhelmed jumping straight into the online-only beta. It took me a few rounds to simply grasp the functionality of my power suit. Once I got the hang of it, I had a blast jumping around and grabbing onto ledges like a monkey. Unfortunately, even after mastering the controls, I was still doing pretty horribly. If you want to feel really good about yourself as gamer, check out my sixth, and probably final, match in the Crysis 3 Beta. I should have just entitled this video “Guy Kicking Cars for Ten Minutes.”
Pretty embarrassing huh? I couldn’t even shoot a guy in the back with a shotgun… Overall it was a good experience and there are quite a few things I like about Crysis 3. This isn’t a day-one purchase for me, but I’d love the opportunity to check out some more of this unique shooter.
Might have done better if Crysis 3 was called Halo… but it looked ok. I noticed you were getting offed a lot by pistols. More teamwork, though, and some cqc with your shotty and you’ve got a better k/d on your hands.

It’s like Halo 1 all over again. Those fiends were all about the pistol. It was outrageously powerful. I was getting taken down in a couple shots. They physics are really fun though. Makes dying frequently ok with me.
I saw you kicking cars like a boss as well. Getting a kill with that would be sweet!
Pretty cool even though I’m not a Crysis guy. Hell, I’m barely a FPS guy lol.
Yeah there are a bunch of things to like with Crysis. Personally I wasn’t blown away by the presentation, but I could see it being pretty fun.

I feel you, the multiplayer can be quite the asskicing if you don’t know your way around. But the Crysis multiplayer has an interesting level Cap scenario, I don’t know if you noticed, but it’s an interesting concept and levels the playing field quite a lot.
I haven’t honestly played it enough to notice the effects of the level cap. It seems like with some more effort the multiplayer could be pretty fun.
