If you’re a fan of the lovable, green hero Yoshi, then you’ll be very excited to hear that one of the big announcements from Nintendo Direct was the confirmation of a Yoshi’s Land for Wii U.
As you may be able to tell from the above screenshot, Yoshi’s Land Wii U is being developed by the folks who brought you Kirby’s Epic Yarn. From the little bits we’ve seen so far, the game seems like a traditional 2D side-scroller, but this hasn’t been confirmed. I don’t necessarily understand the fascination with turning Nintendo characters into yarn, but the game still looks very nifty.

I think we can all agree that Yoshi’s Island is one of the greatest platformers of all time. If you find yourself questioning this fact, you may want to visit a psychiatrist, because chances are you’re completely insane. While no specific title has been revealed, it has been confirmed that the game will be supervised by Nintendo developer Takashi Tezuka, the director of Yoshi’s Island and Yoshi’s Story.

This is adorable. The whole yarn thing reminds me a lot of Little Big Planet, which I had a blast playing on a friend’s PS3 (honestly I just need to bite the bullet and buy one– that’s the second ‘lack of PS3′ complaint I’ve made in a week). =)
Hahaha I don’t know if I’ve said this before, but Little Big Planet was the reason I bought a PS3. Such an amazing game! Did you ever play Kirby’s Epic Yarn?
No, I never got the chance to! I have so many games on my ‘to-play’ list. So many awesome titles, so little time…
It was a very cutesy/fun game. It was classic Kirby, but you were made of yarn. Pretty nifty.

CAUTION!!! SOME POSTS ON THIS SITE MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR VERY YOUNG BLOG VIEWERS!!!
I’ll be trying this out, since I didn’t get a chance to play Kirby’s Epic Yarn on the Wii, though they might not play similarly at all. The only thing they share so far is the look.
Also, Yoshi just makes me want to use him as a hacky sack. >_>
Kirby’s Epic Yarn was a great game. I know the art style was a turn off for some people, but the gameplay was solid and refined. It had everything you love about a Kirby game in a shiny new package.

We keep it pretty PG-13 over here. Thanks for the share.
Yes of course, I just had to put the warning as most of the people that play on binweevils are under 10
Hmm yes maybe I must have thought of that. I will think about it and if people are refraining from viewing that page I will remove it if thats ok?
Generally speaking, our content is appropriate for all ages. I think this article in particular is a perfect example of that.
Lol now I’m confused, i’ll leave it up then and say remove that comment and change it with something like that
Haha I’m all for having the page reblogged, I was just trying to make the point that I don’t really care either way.
