Dead Space 3 is easily one of my most anticipated games of 2013. The first two games brought a shining beacon of hope to the survival-horror genre and even managed to redefine our expectations of a “scary” game.
I’ve been eagerly awaiting the chance to get my hands on the demo and when the time finally came I was overwhelmed with joy. I probably squealed like a little school-girl when I saw my early access code in my inbox yesterday morning. If you didn’t get a chance to play the demo. Here is my playthrough. It’s my first time, so be gentle with me.

Good quality vids, glad you liked the game. Myself, I’ve been skeptical from the beginning with this one, and was overall a little letdown by the demo, since essentially, it was what I was expecting. I absolutely love the first Dead Space, and while Dead Space 2 was still a good game, it was far more action packed and set piecey than the first, so in that regard it wasn’t as good for me.
Since the announcement of a snow planet and then co-op and cover based systems being implemented in DS3 I felt they were going in the absolutely wrong direction with this one, and after playing the demo, I still feel that way. The game still focuses too much on action imo, and the somewhat clunky cover mechanic and now fighting humans and even the creatures that use guns, it all just feels wrong to me. I’m still gonna get it and beat it because its still not like its terrible, it’ll still be good. But its far removed from why I originally loved the series.
Thank you very much sir. I also really enjoyed Dead Space 1 and 2. I played the first game multiple times. It was a total revival of the dying survival-horror genre. IT was legitimately engaging and terrifying. I still loved the second game though. The production and story-telling in the second game was just so refined, it was hard not to love it. I can tell the game is steering more towards the action side of things, but I’ve noticed there is still a strong focus on scares. I’m hoping for the best.
Where you playing DS3 or Lost Planet… I couldn’t tell. Very entertaining though. Make more vids since you said they were easy and took no time to make!
Haha we were making that joke when we first started playing. It totally reminds me of Lost Planet. I will be uploading the first 20 minutes of Anarchy Reigns this week! So look forward to that total ridiculous, piece of wonder.
